How To Personalize Your Marriage Proposal

Each person is unique in their own special way, so each marriage proposal should be just as creative.  We believe that one of the most important components of a marriage proposal is adding creative and personal touches to it, so here are a few of our favorite ways to personalize your marriage proposal.

1. Location.  Don’t pick a place just because someone told you it was the most romantic spot they could think of; Pick a place that has some meaning behind it.  Whether it’s the restaurant you had your first date at, that exotic location your sweetheart has been dreaming of visiting their entire life or at a planetarium because they are a huge astrology buff, choose a spot that illustrates just how thoughtful and in love you truly are.

2. Favorite Things.  Incorporate your sweetheart’s favorite things into the proposal.  If you know their favorite song, arrange to have a musician playing it when you propose.  Even simpler than that, fill your proposal spot with arrangements of your loved one’s favorite flowers.  Including things like their favorite song, flower or even creating an entire proposal inspired by your sweetheart’s favorite movie is the perfect way to make your proposal very personal and unforgettable.

3. Mementos.  Including photos of the two of you, items you have collected and other personal trinkets into your proposal is an amazing way to give it a highly personal touch.  Incorporate personal photos into decorations or place the ring in a special memento that the two of you bought together.
