Sports-Themed Marriage Proposal Ideas

With football season just starting, now is a great time to plan a sports-themed marriage proposal!  Here are a few creative ways to pop the question to the sports lover in your life:

1. Go big!  Rent out a sporting arena just for your proposal.  Amp up the romance and set up a private dinner for two complete with romantic decorations in the middle of the field or court.

2. Renting a venue may not be an option for everyone, so bring the sporting arena to you instead!  Create a personalized field in your backyard.  Make goal posts covered them with flowers and photos of the two of you and have family and friends volunteer to be cheering fans holding signs that spell out “Will you marry me”?.

3. Maybe your partner prefers sports like biking and running.  If so, take a bike ride or a hike to one of their favorite spots and propose!  This idea may be simple, but it still shows that you put thought into what your loved one likes.
