Proposing on Thanksgiving: A Do or A Don’t?

While thoughts of spending an entire day eating turkey, stuffing and pie are consuming most American’s minds right now, maybe you have something else on your mind.  If you’re thinking about popping the question this Thanksgiving, here are some things to think about.

1. If you’re debating whether or not you should propose in front of your loved one’s or your family this Thanksgiving, think about what your sweetheart would prefer.  If your loved one is more of a private person, then proposing in front of a large group of people may not be the best idea.  If you are set on proposing this Thanksgiving, think about doing it in a private and romantic setting before all of the festivities begin and then announcing it while you are surrounded by family.

2. If your sweetheart is alright with a more public proposal, talk to her family members before the big day, tell them your plan and go over all the details, both big and small. Plan well ahead of time and discuss all the details with the family so everything goes smoothly during your proposal.

Proposing on Thanksgiving can be both a do and a don’t, it all depends on your loved one’s personal preferences.  The most important thing to remember if you are thinking about a Thanksgiving proposal is what your sweetheart would like.
